About Rev. Edward Amri

As Christians, we believe that nothing ever happens by chance, it is God who engineers everything in order to fulfil his divine purpose for our lives, and the world. Reverend Edward is the founder and overseer of Akuzamu International Church, and he has only submitted to the divine purpose and calling for his life. Born 5th August 1959, the young Edward was the last born son of 9 siblings of the late Daudi Amri Mlolere, a senior Officer in the Tanzania Police Force, and the late Mama Koleta Kopoka. After a divine encounter with the power of God as he took his sister in-law to a crusade in Dar es Salaam, he gave his life to Jesus in 2004, and committed to serving the Lord ever since. Reverend Amri is committed to see people's lives transform as they experience the power of God's Love through his word. Before starting the church, he spent 4 years immersed in the word and seeking God's direction as he submitted to the will of God. Reverend Amri owes his spiritual growth to the mentorship of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy, and has had the opportunity to encounter other great men of God such as Prophet T.B Joshua, Major Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, Pastor Rod Parsley, The Late Myles Munroe to name a few. After humble beginnings with a congregation of no more than 20 people, Reverend Amri now leads daily services, overnight vigils, conferences and seminars around Tanzania, leading thousands to witness and experience the power of God. This includes the powerful weekly healing service. Reverend Amri also spreads the Gospel of the Kingdom of Love through a weekly radio programme as well as weekly newspaper articles, reaching thousands of people in the country. Reverend Amri is happily married to Mama Reverend Mary Amri and they are blessed with three wonderful children, Edward Jr, Elsa and Edrick.
