I greet you in the name that is above all names, the name of King Jesus! Shalom! Shalom! We thank God for the Grace to witness another wonderful day in His Presence.Today is the last day at our City Centre address, we will begin the process to move from the city into our interim address in Kinondoni Biafra. We give glory to God as this a very important chapter in the growth of Akuzamu International Church. Halleluia! Now, today's sermon is not only powerful, but very important in the life of a Christian. Today is the day where we will give a special offering that will go towards building the House of Lord. Today's sermon is about the principles of success. Only a successful person can give abundantly. If you're not successful, what can you give? You have to be successful and prosperous in order to give. When you give to God, you are expressing thankfulness and appreciation to Him.Psalm 100:4 says “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him and bless his name”(KJV)The verse above is the mind blowing revelation of the secret of success. What does it mean? It means as you come to the Lord's house, always take your thanksgiving offering with you. Thanksgiving is the first step to entering the Holy of Holies. When we gather together in church, or in prayer, the aim is to enter into the Holy of Holies. Those who enter his gates with thanksgiving are only those whom he has already blessed. The word “blessed” comes from the Hebrew word “Barak” which means TO RELEASE ABILITY. When God blesses you, he releases his ability in you, he hides it inside you for you to release to those around you. When God says he has blessed you, he demands that you release that ability that is already inside you. So you are blessed not because of what you have, BUT because of what you GIVE! Oh halleluia! Listen, God created us to be powerful, influential and successful enough to do more for others than for ourselves. We have to be the one's to bless others abundantly. As a blessed child of God, others must benefit from our prosperity. They must see God's Glory through our success. When God blesses you, you become successful in all areas and in every realm, physical and spiritual realm.3 John1:2 says “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prosperity”. What a revelation! God wants us to prosper in ALL things, that is physically, mentally and spiritually. This means God did not create anyone to be a failure, he created us to be successful. God has not set anyone aside to be poor. Poverty and wealth are in a person's mind. It is all about your mindset. In order to be successful all we need to do is renew our minds by immersing ourselves in the powerful word of God. We must read our bibles and meditate on the word of God. In Joshua 1:8, we see the Lord telling Joshua to meditate on the word day and night, and to do all that written in it, and the he will have good success. And we see that that is exactly what Joshua did, he lived his life according to the book of the law. As it was with Joshua, so must it be with us. God is telling us to meditate on the word – the secret and principles of success are in the word of God.So when the time comes to give unto the Lord, don't ever say you have nothing to give. This is our time for us to shine and show others that we are blessed! That our God has blessed exceedingly and abundantly. Now, just as one needs a solid foundation to build a house, one needs a solid foundation to build success. The foundation of your success is your TITHE! Without tithe, there is no foundation. When you tithe, you are telling God “ I love you my father”. You acknowledge that all that you
have, came from God, and you are giving back what belongs to Him. On the other hand, when you don't tithe, you destroy the foundation of your success. Now, your normal offering is the STRUCTURE of your success, and your special offering is the FINISHING! The special offering could be your first fruit, thanksgiving or offerings towards specific Kingdom work such as building the Lord's house. Special offerings are painful because it is like giving your heart away. But thank God because Psalm 126:5-6 says “ They that sow in tears shall reap in joy, He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him” (KJV) Oh Halleluia! This is God's promise to us, if we sow in tears we will reap in joy! Do not miss the opportunity to plant seeds of success for your future. Trust and obey the word of God and you will be be fulfilling God's purpose for your life; this is the God kind if success which we should aim for.As children of the most high God, we are blessed to bless. Believe it, declare it!We would like to invite you to join us on one of our services, to hear more of how God's word can transform your life, so you too can walk in the blessings that the Lord has for your life. Shalom! Shalom! We love you!
